In order to improve Regent Series we focused on how we could deliver more features and better tone through improving our production techniques. Techniques that would allow us to make the best value, best quality entry-level guitars in the market. First we scalloped the bracing system in a way that gets the best from laminated construction.

The new Regent 26s and 27s will surprise the most experienced of acoustic guitar players, they respond and resonate incredibly well. We then focused on the finish and cosmetics and improved our painting and polishing and detail work. The notes Regent Series produce are rounded and have depth, which is rare for laminated construction, this makes them more enjoyable and rewarding to play. We also now ship every Regent guitar in a gig bag, but not just the usual baggie, unpadded giveaway. We designed a super deluxe, duo-foam bag made from the finest materials we could use and filled it full of protection.

The Regent 26 Series is a great, high value line of guitars made from spruce and mahogany and features many of the Alvarez unique design appointments found in our high-end guitars. Each model has been individually designed to deliver outstanding tone, response and playability.

SYS650 dual pickup

The Alvarez SYS650 was designed by B-BAND and is a dual pickup system incorporating one under saddle pickup and a transducer pickup placed under the soundboard. Either pickup can be selected or one can blend between the two to fine tune the response for lead, finger-picking or rhythm work. The system also has a fully chromatic, precision tuner with backlit LCD screen, 3-bands of rotary EQ, and a notch control that can be used to attenuate feedback or to shape the sound.
