Since 2005, the Electro-Harmonix POG — the Polyphonic Octave Generator — has enabled musicians to conjure up a staggering range of jaw-dropping octave effects. The POG3 bears the same lightning-fast, glitch-free tracking as its predecessors but expands its octave-generating capabilities to six polyphonic voices, including a fifth above, and to 100 customizable presets. Familiar Attack, Filter, and Detune sliders are bolstered by an Envelope knob on the multimode filter, plus you get a stereo output with individual voice panning and a detune Spread parameter. Musicians performing in dimly lit spaces will appreciate the POG3’s high-visibility OLED screen and illuminated sliders, while MIDI and an extensive complement of I/O options support seamless integration into a broad array of setup configurations. The POG3 provides you with access to even more creative options, thanks to its expanded 6-voice capabilities, which include a fifth above your dry signal. The pedal’s enhanced multimode filter boasts a dedicated Envelope control to fine-tune the effect. You also get more I/O, including left, right, and direct analog outputs, MIDI, USB-C, and an expression pedal input. With the POG3, you’ll be able to transform your sound into a whole new range of expressive sonic textures.

Expansive stereo output

Many of us here at Sweetwater use stereo guitar, synth, and bass rigs. What’s more, stereo capabilities unlock all sorts of extended possibilities when you’re in the studio. So, you can imagine how excited we became once we learned that Electro-Harmonix’s POG3 includes a stereo output! Not only that, but each of the pedal’s generated octaves brandishes a dedicated voice panning knob, and the Detune slider boasts a Spread knob, enabling you to create seriously expansive stereo effects with spot-on panning precision.

High-visibility OLED screen

The POG3’s most striking visual change is its high-visibility OLED screen, which makes keeping track of its 100 customizable internal presets much easier. You also get illuminated sliders, so tweaking the POG3 in a darkened studio or on a dimly lit stage is as easy as using it in broad daylight.
